“Another fake hero? I wonder who was it. For me, being a hero or not at this point is not something that bothers me. I do what I do not to have a fancy title, but because I think it is the right thing to do.”

“I see. Just be careful not to overdo it. Sometimes, people can doubt someone who always helps and asks nothing in return… And then think you have ulterior motives. In the end, you will go from helping everyone to fighting everyone.” It’s hard to tell if he’s talking from personal experience or not.

“Do not worry, I know that. And the sad part is that I was at only a step for making my dream true.” He sighed. “But now, I need to get far more stronger than before. I have to beat a goddess, after all.”

“Seems like you have your work cut out for you then.” He gauged the boy, crossing his arms as he looked at him. “Are you sure a kid like you can handle it?” the man asked, wanting to test his reaction.

“Alone? No. But I am not alone. I have friends, monsters and humans, at my side, ready to help me. I know far too well that something like that isn’t something I can do alone, and I count on them like they count on me.” He was serious, crossing his arms too.

“You can simply call me Archer.” As he replied, he took a glance at the sword the boy was holding. In an instant, he had analyzed it and added it to his repertoire. “That’s quite the strange sword you have there.”

“Let’s not talk about this.” He said. His sword wasn’t something that interessing or nice to talk with someone meet for the first time. What could he said, this sword moans and is made with the soul of 666 angels melted together? “Anyway, Mister Archer, what brings you here?”

“My Master is currently leaving me some free time, so I decided I’d explore a little bit” answered the strange Servant. It was only a half-truth. “I’ve been hearing a few things, actually. You’re supposed to be a hero, aren’t you?”

“No. I am a fake hero, or at least I call myself that way. “Hero” in our world is nothing but a slave of goddness that unleashed rapture when we where at one step to the peace, just because she could not gain anymore faith. And…what you heard exactly? And from who?”
